JoyArk connects your iPhone directly to your own Mac on the same local network. The Mac host captures the selected display and, if enabled, its system audio. It sends these to your paired iPhone over an encrypted connection. Your iPhone sends keyboard and mouse commands back to your Mac. We do not operate a streaming relay, upload or store these streams, capture the microphone, or collect your game content or control input.
Because the whole selected display is shared, close private windows and notifications before streaming. Video starts only when you start streaming. Stopping or disconnecting ends capture and releases held controls.
JoyArk stores saved Mac names, local addresses, stream settings and pairing identifiers on your iPhone. The host and phone store pairing secrets in the operating system Keychain. These are used to authenticate local connections and are not sent to advertising or usage analytics services. Use Forget Mac in JoyArk to remove a saved connection and its phone-side secret. Use Replace Pairing Key in the Mac host to invalidate prior pairings.
Share usage analytics is off by default. If you enable it in Streaming Settings, JoyArk sends limited app activity to our analytics service: fixed screen and action names, session identifiers and timing, foreground/background activity, app/build and operating-system versions, and device class. The service also processes and retains the upload IP address and an approximate country derived from it. This information is linked to the analytics session and is not described as anonymous. It is used to understand app usage and improve reliability. It is not used for advertising or linked to a Mac pairing.
We do not include Mac names or addresses, pairing keys or links, captured video or audio, game titles or content, or keyboard and mouse input in analytics. We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or motion sensor readings. Analytics events are retained for up to 30 days. Turning the switch off stops collection and deletes unsent analytics stored on the phone; it does not retract already uploaded events, which expire under the retention period.
JoyArk includes Branch for link handling and advertising attribution, and Meta’s Facebook SDK to measure app activation. Cross-app advertising tracking is requested through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, those services may process advertising and device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, app activation and campaign/link information to measure the ads that brought you to JoyArk. If you decline, JoyArk uses Branch’s no-attribution mode for deterministic links and does not activate Meta app-event measurement. Declining does not limit local streaming. Pairing links are handled only by JoyArk and are not forwarded to attribution SDKs.
You can change advertising permission in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Usage analytics and advertising permission are separate choices. See Branch’s privacy policy and Meta’s privacy policy for their processing and retention practices.
The public Mac host contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. Its network services accept local connections for pairing and streaming. It does not require an online account, cloud subscription or relay deployment. Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions are managed by macOS and can be revoked in System Settings.
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to answer your request. Do not send pairing keys or private stream content. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the request and applicable obligations. The public website and source download are hosted by GitHub, which processes connection information under its privacy statement. Analytics hosting providers process data on our behalf. These services may process data outside your country.
You can use streaming with usage analytics disabled and advertising permission declined. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information we can identify as yours, or to exercise applicable privacy rights. We do not require a JoyArk account. If records cannot reasonably be linked to you, we will explain that limitation rather than request unnecessary identifying information. This app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
We will update this page and its effective date when the app’s processing changes. Material changes requiring consent will be presented in the app before that processing begins.
